Finn & Burk Trading Company was born in the Alaskan wilderness, upon Norris Glacier in the heart of the Juneau Icefield. What began as long days beneath the midnight sun, living among sled dogs and surrounded by wild landscapes, eventually grew into something more: a trading company born from a lifelong love of adventure.
Yet it was never simply the wilderness that inspired Finn & Burk. It was the stories born within it. The unexpected detours, the lessons learned along the way, the traditions passed down through generations, and the understanding that a life well lived is measured not merely by the places one has been, but by the stories one has gathered.
We believe adventure is not reserved for distant horizons or extraordinary expeditions. It is found wherever curiosity leads.
Surfing the Pacific. Crossing an Alaskan glacier behind a team of sled dogs. Following the wrong trail seven miles into the middle of nowhere. Or spending an afternoon baking cookies with Grandma, listening to stories from a time long before our own.

Every Finn & Burk design draws its inspiration from real experiences, stories exchanged around campfires, and the wild places and remarkable people encountered along the way. Each piece is a small tribute to the art of living curiously, honoring where we've been while leaving room for wherever the road may lead.

Finn & Burk Trading Company owes its beginnings to the adventures we shared with friends in the Alaskan wilderness. It was there, surrounded by wild landscapes and endless beauty, that we came to understand something worth passing down: the wilderness is more than a place to explore. It is a legacy worth protecting for generations to come.
We believe the privilege of wandering this extraordinary earth comes with a responsibility to protect it. To preserve its ancient forests, rugged mountains, open waters, and the remarkable creatures that call them home. Not simply for ourselves, but for the generations yet to come, so they too may discover the wonder of the wilderness and write their own stories within it. After all, this beautiful earth is the only home we have, and its greatest treasures cannot be replaced.
